Job Description

OHI is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Mental Health Department. The RN works within our mental health homes in the Bangor area. The RN shall implement pertinent clinical and medical policies; coordinate and communicate treatment plans for those with significant medical, psychiatric, and behavioral conditions; advocate for individual health care needs with area resources and providers; provide support and education to staff and people supported; oversee quality of care and customer service as it relates to this position; and complete evidence-based progress reporting. The Registered Nurse (RN) shall have graduated from a Registered Nurse program and be licensed in Maine as an RN. The RN shall preferably have a bachelor's degree in nursing. The RN must have at least two years' experience in an RN capacity and shall preferably have experience in providing nursing services to people with intellectual disabilities, mental illness, and co-occurring disorders. The RN shall be technologically proficient and have prior experience using an electronic medical record. The RN shall preferably also be certified as a CRMA Instructor and have experience with infection prevention and control.
