at Maine Veterans' Home in Caribou, Maine, United States Job Description Registered Nurse (RN)•Full-Time (36 Hours/Week) Caribou, ME (http://maps.google.com/maps?q=163+Van+Buren+Rd+Caribou+ME+USA+04736-3567) Job Type Full-time Description We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurses to join our team in a full-time capacity. This position offers a consistent 36-hour work week with a mix of day and night shifts, including occasional weekends and holidays.
Schedule:
+ Two (2) 12-hour day shifts: 6:00 AM•6:00 PM + One shift in a Charge Nurse role + One shift in a Treatment Nurse role + One (1) 12-hour night shift: 6:00 PM•6:00 AM + Charge Nurse role Key Responsibilities + Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with care plans, policies, and best practices + Supervise and support CNAs and other nursing staff on assigned shift + Coordinate and delegate assignments to ensure appropriate staffing and workload distribution + Monitor resident conditions and respond promptly to changes in status + Administer medications and treatments as ordered + Communicate effectively with providers, families, and interdisciplinary team members + Ensure accurate and timely documentation of care and services provided + Promote a safe environment by adhering to infection control and safety protocols + Assist with admissions, discharges, and care transitions + Address concerns, incidents, and emergencies in a timely and professional manner + Support compliance with state and federal regulations and organizational policies + Serve as a role model and resource to staff, fostering a positive team environment Requirements + Current, active RN license in the State of Maine + Graduate of an accredited nursing program + Ability to work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers, residents, families, and supervisors + Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality + Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team + Proficiency in spoken and written English + Basic computer skills
