5x8's Monday - Friday No On Call Additional Details about the position
Preoperative Assessment & Preparation:
Verify patient identity, surgical site, and consent. Review patient medical history, allergies, and pre-op labs. Prepare the OR room with necessary equipment and supplies.
Intraoperative Care & Safety:
Aseptic Technique:
Enforce sterile field integrity throughout the surgery.
Patient Positioning:
Properly position the patient to prevent injury (e.g., nerve damage, pressure ulcers).
Surgical Counts:
Perform counts of sponges, needles, and instruments with the scrub person before, during, and after the procedure to prevent retained items. Will see more than just ortho cases - Endoscopy cases are high - Pain management procedures/cases are high
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
experience with Ortho cases specific to Knees & Shoulders Need ortho experience 2 years experience
