Qualifications & Experience:

Possession of an active RN (Registered Nurse) license in Maine (required) Prior experience in a school or pediatric setting, or in 1:1 nursing preferred Excellent assessment, medical documentation, and communication skills Ability to collaborate with educators and families to coordinate student care Flexibility and adaptability in a school environment, supporting individualized student needs

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver individualized nursing care to one student, addressing medical needs throughout the academic day Administer medications, monitor vital signs, provide treatments, and execute care plans as directed by healthcare providers Respond promptly and calmly to emergencies, ensuring comprehensive student safety Maintain accurate health records and abide by confidentiality guidelines Serve as a reliable liaison between the student, family, educators, and school health team, ensuring continuity of care Educate the school community on relevant health topics when appropriate This contract role is ideal for nurses seeking meaningful, hands-on engagement in a supportive educational atmosphere.
