Join a collaborative OB/GYN team providing comprehensive care across antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, newborn nursery, and post-op gynecology settings. This role requires clinical competence, strong judgment, effective communication, and a commitment to patient-centered care and quality improvement.
Minimum Qualifications:
Current RN licensure and graduate of an accredited School of Nursing At least 2 years of acute care nursing experience (minimum 1 year required) Current BLS certification ACLS and Neonatal Resuscitation certification STABLE certification Successful completion of general nursing and unit-specific orientation Proficient computer, written, and verbal communication skills Must comply with Maine
COVID-19
vaccination mandate Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to hospital policies (e.g., advance directives, ADA, sexual harassment)
Core Responsibilities:
Independently assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care using the nursing process for assigned OB/GYN patients Deliver holistic, age-appropriate care across antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery, and post-op gynecology populations Perform unit-specific clinical skills competently and demonstrate sound nursing judgment and teaching ability Collaborate effectively with physicians, charge nurses, and interdisciplinary staff to manage patient care, supplies, and equipment Support continuous quality improvement and uphold professional standards of nursing practice and organizational mission, vision, and values
