Category Schools - RN Nurse Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact this summer by supporting students' health and well-being in an engaging educational environment. Licensed Registered Nurses are needed for school-based roles during a summer ESY (Extended School Year) program from July 6th to July 30th. With three positions available—one dedicated 1:1 case and two general school nurse roles—you'll play a vital role ensuring a safe, healthy learning space for children and staff alike.
Key Qualifications:
Active RN license in the state Prior experience as a school nurse or in a pediatric setting is preferred Strong assessment, communication, and emergency response skills Genuine interest in working with children and adolescents Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, staff, and families Reliable and flexible for the assignment period
Role Details & Responsibilities:
Provide daily health services and medication administration for students Deliver care for acute illnesses, injuries, and chronic health conditions Maintain detailed health records and emergency care plans For 1:1 assignment: focus on tailored medical support for a single student, including personal care as needed For general nurse assignments: oversee the overall student population in elementary, middle, or high school Communicate needs, observations, and health plans to staff, students, and parents Ensure compliance with all health and safety protocols
Hours:
Elementary, 9am-1pm; Middle/High, 8am-12pm; (General nurses work 5 hours/day.)
