at Maine Veterans' Home in South Paris, Maine, United States Job Description Registered Nurse (RN) / Licensed Practical Nurse ( LPN ) South Paris, ME (http://maps.google.com/maps?q=South+Paris+ME+USA) Description Join Our Care Team We are seeking compassionate and dependable Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our team. Nurses are assigned to a specific care area, which may includememory care, long-term care, or skilled nursing,depending on the position. Position Summary The RN/ LPN is a valued member of the nursing team responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to residents in accordance with each resident's individualized care plan. This role supports residents in a designated care setting while promoting dignity, comfort, and safety. RNs and LPNs also provide clinical oversight, coordination of care, and guidance to nursing assistants as appropriate. Key Responsibilities + Provide direct nursing care, including medication administration, treatments, and clinical interventions + Assess residents' physical, emotional, and cognitive status and respond appropriately + Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team + Supervise and support CNAs in delivering daily care and ensuring quality standards are met + Observe, document, and report changes in residents' condition to appropriate team members + Promote residents' independence, preferences, and dignity while maintaining safety + Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, team members, residents, and families + Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements + Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and confidentiality protocols + Respond to emergencies and provide appropriate nursing interventions Requirements + Active and in-good-standing RN or LPN license in the State of Maine + Ability to work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers, residents, families, and supervisors + Ability to exercise clinical judgment, discretion, and maintain confidentiality + Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team + Proficiency in spoken and written English + Basic computer skills
Shifts Available:
Full-Time or Part-Time positions available. Most positions require every other weekend.
