Category Schools - RN Nurse Job Type Contract Bring your passion for nursing to a setting where you'll make a meaningful difference to a student's health and wellbeing every day. In this year-round contract opportunity near South Paris, Maine, you will work 1:1 with a student, ensuring continuity of care and supporting their medical needs within a school environment. The campus is located in Saco, offering a fulfilling role that lets you truly connect with those you help.
Qualifications and Experience:
Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Maine Experience providing nursing care in a school or pediatric setting preferred Ability to work effectively in a 1:1 role, prioritizing compassion and confidentiality Strong communication skills for collaboration with families, school staff, and administration Commitment to upholding rigorous standards for student safety and health
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized care to a student, monitoring health status and managing acute and chronic conditions Administer medication, treatments, and interventions as prescribed Act as a health advocate, supporting the student's participation in school activities Provide education to the student and relevant staff regarding health needs as necessary Document care provided and communicate updates with healthcare providers and guardians Assist with medical emergencies and implement appropriate response protocols within the school setting Perks of this
