Job Description

We are looking for an RN to perform UDS testing 1 day/week in our office. Training onsite is provided! The day of the week is flexible, but Tuesday or Wednesday is preferred. We offer competitive pay in a great office!
Position Summary:
The Urodynamic Technician performs tests to analyze symptoms of problems with the urinary tract with a high degree of precision to ensure accurate diagnosis of patients. Testing is performed under the supervision of physicians. The Urodynamic Technician has a responsibility to put patients at ease while preparing them for urinary testing and during the actual testing procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To accomplish this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation, each essential function satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to help enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Greets and escorts the patients to the Urodynamic rooms. Explains and performs the urodynamic testing to the patient. Runs a urine analysis when necessary. When necessary if the doctor is seeing the patient immediately after the test, the urodynamic technician will escort the patient to an exam room and let the doctor know what the findings were. Cleans and disinfects the room and equipment for the next patient. Stocks rooms when necessary. Verifies eligibility and benefits for upcoming urodynamic patients. Obtains authorizations if needed. Monitors daily schedule to facilitate a smooth patient flow. Returns phone calls, provides needed information, or takes messages when appropriate. Washes, disinfects, and prepares equipment for onsite sterilization when needed. Administers injections as ordered by the physician/physician assistant prior to testing being done. Is utilized as a back-up medical assistant with all the responsibilities of a medical assistant. Notifies manager of any difficulty with patients or equipment malfunctions and when supplies are needed.
