Job Description

Advanced Practitioner Part-time (flexible hours and location) (Ex. Physician, Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner, or Certified Nurse Mid-Wife) 20-29 hours per week District Health Department No. 4 is a dedicated and passionate team that provides leadership in promoting environmental and personal health through health promotion, disease detection and prevention, education, and regulation. AFSCME Position, Non-exempt O•Net 29-1171.00
Duties:
Provide direct care and education on pregnancy and family planning methods so clients can make an informed decision. Engage with diverse populations, create nursing care plans, and advocate for high-risk populations. Provide services in the office setting and/or via tele-health. Serve in a manner that is culturally competent and non-judgmental with all clients, coworkers, peers, and supervisors. Collaborate with supervision and/or Medical Director as needed to streamline and troubleshoot services. Ensure program fidelity to accreditation requirements and nursing standards of care. Complete and maintain accurate, adequate, and timely records in computer software products such as Microsoft Office, Electronic Medical Records software, and similar products. Utilize effective communication and conflict resolution skills to serve clientele in a tactful, objective, respectful manner while maintaining privacy and HIPAA compliance.
Requirements:
One year of providing community health, pediatric, women's health and/or family planning services preferred, but not required. Valid Michigan identification and reliable transportation. Competitive Pay
