Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background, excellent assessment skills, and a passion for delivering personalized patient care. In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing services, coordinating care plans, and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine individual needs and develop tailored care plans. Administer medications, treatments, and injections with precision, including IV infusions and aseptic techniques. Monitor patient progress, evaluate treatment effectiveness, and adjust care strategies accordingly. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate services such as wound care, dialysis, cardiac catheterization follow-up, and hospice & palliative medicine. Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or Athenahealth. Educate patients and their families on health management, medication administration, and disease prevention strategies. Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed during all patient interactions and procedures such as suturing or specimen collection. Participate in discharge planning, case management, and triage activities to prioritize urgent needs effectively. Experience Proven clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in diverse settings including hospital medicine, critical care units (ICU/Level I & II trauma centers), emergency rooms, or outpatient clinics. Demonstrated expertise in specialized areas such as cardiology (cardiac catheterization), orthopedics (ostomy care), geriatrics (memory care), behavioral health, or pediatrics (neonatal ventilator). Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia-related conditions is highly desirable. Familiarity with medical coding systems such as ICD-9/10 and CPT coding for documentation purposes. Proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks for accurate record keeping. Knowledge of infection control practices, sterile processing procedures, and laboratory specimen handling. Prior experience in home health care or long-term care settings such as assisted living facilities or nursing homes is preferred. Strong understanding of acute pain management, trauma medicine, occupational health protocols, and hospice & palliative care principles.
