Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality patient care across diverse settings, including acute care, long-term care, outpatient clinics, and community health environments. Your expertise will support patient recovery, comfort, and well-being through comprehensive assessments, effective treatment plans, and compassionate communication. Responsibilities Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews to determine individual needs. Administer medications and injections accurately following prescribed protocols, including IV infusions and medication administration. Assist with diagnostic evaluations such as laboratory specimen collection, processing, and interpreting results using EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems like Epic or Cerner. Provide specialized care in areas such as ICU, emergency medicine, cardiac catheterization procedures, dialysis treatments, or hospice & palliative medicine based on your experience. Implement aseptic techniques during procedures like suturing or sterile dressing changes to prevent infection and ensure patient safety. Educate patients and their families on health management strategies including pain management, nutrition, medication instructions, and discharge planning. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and update individualized care plans aligned with NCQA standards and ICD coding requirements for accurate documentation. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information and ensuring accurate medical records documentation. Requirements Valid RN license in the state of practice with current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS). Proven experience working in diverse healthcare settings such as hospital medicine, emergency room, ICU (Level I or Level II Trauma Center), or post-acute care environments. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and diagnostic evaluation techniques. Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner for documentation and patient management. Ability to perform complex procedures including venipuncture, catheter care, tube feeding management, and ventilator support if applicable. Critical care experience preferred; familiarity with trauma medicine, infectious disease care, or pediatric/neonatal units is a plus. Excellent communication skills to effectively triage patient needs and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams. Working knowledge of
ICD-10/ICD-9
coding standards for accurate medical documentation; experience with CPT coding is advantageous. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays is valued; familiarity with geriatrics or memory care enhances your candidacy.
