Registered Nurse - Wellness Clinic

Tuscola Behavioral Health Systems (TBHS) has been providing services within Tuscola County since 1974. As the Community Mental Health Agency within Tuscola County, we are here to provide services to children with severe emotional disorders, adults with mental illness, substance use disorders, and intellectual/developmental disorders.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Registered Nurse License in the State of Michigan required; three years nursing experience, preferably with adults with mental illnesses and/or intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Valid driver's license and automobile insurance are required.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include providing medical services and medically appropriate supportive services to adults with mental illnesses and/or intellectual disabilities. These services include direct medical and psychiatric nursing care as well as care coordination, coordination with primary care physicians, and other health care providers. This also includes completing medication consultation and prior authorizations, emergency medical care, linkage with primary care physicians, and participation in committee meetings. Responsible for the review of health appraisals for individuals served and the completion of aftercare discharge planning. Provides direct nursing services for the TBHS Integrated Health Clinic and conducts follow up care and referrals. Demonstrates knowledge of and actively supports culturally competent, recovery-based practices.

• ASN Licensure $5,000.
