Mother-Baby Registered Nurse Shift -7am-730pm, Every other weekend Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated Mother-Baby Registered Nurse to join our dynamic maternal health team. In this vital role, you will provide expert nursing care to mothers and their newborns, ensuring a safe, supportive, and healing environment. Your energy and enthusiasm will help foster positive experiences for families during one of the most important moments of their lives. Duties Deliver comprehensive nursing assessments for mothers and newborns, including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations. Administer medications, including pain management, antibiotics, and other treatments following strict aseptic techniques. Support labor, delivery, and postpartum processes by monitoring fetal heart rates, managing contractions, and assisting with delivery procedures. Educate new mothers on infant care practices such as breastfeeding, tube feeding, infant safety, and developmental milestones. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans aligned with hospital standards such as NCQA standards and HIPAA regulations. Monitor neonatal health using advanced equipment like neonatal ventilators; perform routine assessments including laboratory specimen collection and processing. Maintain accurate medical documentation.
