This position supports patients through pre-op preparation, recovery, education, and discharge in a fast-paced outpatient surgical setting and OR circulator coverage. Key Responsibilities Provide pre- and post-operative nursing care using the nursing process Assess patients and collaborate with families on recovery and discharge planning Deliver procedure-specific patient education and aftercare instructions Document care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (Nextech) Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality Assist with routine nursing duties including stocking, cleaning, and daily checklists Incorporate evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development Provide OR circulator support as needed, including room setup, patient positioning, intraoperative documentation, and maintaining sterile workflow Qualifications BSN required Minimum 2 years PACU and/or OR nursing experience Current BLS and ACLS certifications Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Nextech EMR experience preferred but not required Physical Requirements Ability to stand/walk up to 50% of the workday Ability to lift up to 20 pounds Comfortable in a fast-paced ambulatory surgery environment Pay & Perks part time - hourly position (2 days a week) No weekends or holidays Currently closed on Fridays Employee perks available
