RN Staff Dispensing Nurse

Rainbow Center of Michigan Inc. (Highland Park), is currently seeking for a Full-time or Part-Time Registered Nurse with experience working with the opiate/other drug use and co-occurring disorders population. Prior experience working in methadone management and mental health settings is preferred but not required. Hours of Operation:

Monday - Thursday 4:45am-1:45pm Saturday 5:45am-12:00pm

Requirements:

Current State of Michigan License (Registered) At least one year of nursing experience preferably in a chemical dependency setting. Current CPR Certification. Ability to work with clients having various mental and physical disorders. Demonstrate care and compassion for people of all ages, ethnicity and social economic backgrounds.

Description:

Responsible for the dispensing of Methadone (medication) using a computerized dosing system (Methasoft Treatment Management System). Collect specimens for substance abuse testing and monitoring. Documents and ensures accurate record keeping of all controlled substances and monitor compliance with all state and federal regulations. Maintaining professional and orderly conduct in the workplace. There is minimum patient contact.
