Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-Operating Room Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding Operating Room nursing role where your clinical skills and focus on patient care truly make a difference. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced RN with a background in surgery to work in a collaborative perioperative environment alongside respected healthcare professionals.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Current, active RN license Minimum of 1 year experience as an Operating Room RN Strong clinical knowledge of perioperative procedures, instrumentation, and patient safety standards Proficient in circulating and/or scrubbing within a variety of surgical specialties BLS certification (additional certifications such as ACLS are a plus) Excellent critical thinking and communication skills Commitment to safe, compassionate, evidence-based care
Schedule:
Contract position (specific length discussed during interview process) Schedule details provided during interview
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to ensure safe, efficient patient care before, during, and after procedures Circulate or scrub as needed for assigned surgeries, upholding aseptic technique and infection control protocols Prepare OR suites, verify surgical instruments and equipment, and anticipate patient and procedural needs Provide clear, ongoing communication with the interdisciplinary team Monitor and document patient status and interventions throughout the surgical experience Respond effectively to emergencies and unexpected situations, maintaining composure under pressure
