1 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position at a Level I Trauma Center, requiring TNCC, ACLS, PALS, and a minimum of 2 years of ER experience. Details Evening shift, 3x12-hour shifts (1:00 PM - 1:30 AM) 13-week contract Works within a Level I Trauma Center, Stroke Center, Heart Center, and Pediatric Emergency Department Patient ratios are typically 1:5-6 and may reach up to 1:8 during high-volume periods or holidays Floating to the Pediatric ED is possible Weekend requirement: 3 weekends (Friday-Sunday) per 4-week schedule, with 1-3 days scheduled per weekend No on-call responsibilities Epic EMR used; experience preferred and training provided during orientation Requirements Active MI RN license required (compact licenses are not accepted in MI) Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIH Stroke Scale ENPC certification preferred AHA-issued certifications preferred; all certifications must be active by contract start date and cannot be pending Minimum 2 years of ER experience required Level I Trauma Center experience required Experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required Epic EMR experience preferred 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration Additional Information First-time travelers are welcome to apply for this position Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travel candidates Former core staff members must have left the facility at least 12 months prior to being eligible to return as a traveler All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration; no additional RTO will be approved after submission No RTO is permitted during the month of July Maximum of 5 days of RTO allowed per assignment Pre-start modules are required and will vary by specialty; modules are completed outside of scheduled shift hours Experience with continuous IV sedation, procedural sedation administration, and triage is preferred
