Our facility will be a cost-effective alternative for patients, payors, and managed care organizations, while maintaining the highest quality of care. We will strive to continuously monitor, evaluate, and improve the quality and value of our services. Muskegon Surgery Center is seeking a full-time OR Nurse to work in our busy, state of the art, ambulatory surgical center. Our facility offers Orthopedic, ENT, Podiatry, Urology, General Surgery, Plastic, Hand, and Spine Surgery. We are leaders in quality, service, cost, and innovation. The Center offers flexible schedules. There are no weekend shifts and no holidays. Experience in an outpatient surgical center preferred, but not required. Must be able to multitask, be a team-player, and be flexible. Requirements
- Completed high school or equivalent
- Graduate of an approved professional (RN) nursing program; must possess a current Michigan license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Experience in an OR setting preferred, but willing to train the right candidate
- Have C.P.R. certification
- Ability to concentrate and be very attentive to detail
- Interpersonal skills necessary in order to interact with patients/families, other staff members, and physicians
- Expected to lift twenty-five pounds without assistance
Responsibilities:
- Present a professional image representing surgical services to patients and personnel
- Acts as a patient advocate, maintains patient confidentiality, and promotes a safe environment for the patient.
- Work collaboratively and support efforts of team members
- Performs or assists with procedures and treatments, medication administration, operates equipment and utilizes supplies according to established standards if care and nursing practice
- Assesses, monitors, detects, plans, and takes appropriate actions to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Report to department manager
