This role promotes hospice services, educates communities about end-of-life care options, and ensures alignment with company goals and compliance standards. Key Responsibilities Identify and develop new referral sources including physicians, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and home health agencies Build and maintain strong relationships with referral partners to ensure consistent patient referrals Conduct regular sales calls, presentations, and in-service trainings for healthcare providers Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase hospice admissions Educate healthcare professionals, patients, and families on hospice services, eligibility criteria, and benefits Represent the hospice at community events, health fairs, and networking meetings Promote awareness of hospice philosophy and services within the community Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly admission targets Maintain accurate records of sales activities, referral sources, and outcomes Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities Work closely with clinical teams, admissions coordinators, and leadership to ensure smooth patient transitions Communicate effectively regarding referral status and patient needs Participate in care planning discussions as needed to support patient-centered care Adhere to all federal, state, and company regulations, including HIPAA and Medicare guidelines Ensure ethical marketing practices and accurate representation of services Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in marketing, healthcare administration, business, or related field (preferred) Minimum 1-3 years of healthcare marketing, sales, or hospice experience Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets Skills & Competencies Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills Excellent communication and presentation abilities Knowledge of hospice care, Medicare/Medicaid guidelines, and healthcare industry practices Self-motivated with strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Other Requirements Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to travel locally to referral sites and community events
