Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-Operating Room Job Type Contract Advance your nursing practice in a dynamic surgical environment where your expertise in operating room procedures truly makes a difference. This contract role seeks an experienced Registered Nurse skilled in all aspects of perioperative care, ensuring the highest standards of safety and patient satisfaction throughout procedures.
Qualifications and Experience:
Current and valid RN license, with strong credentials in operating room (OR) nursing Minimum of one year of recent OR nursing experience Demonstrated knowledge of sterile technique and surgical protocols Ability to anticipate the needs of surgeons and surgical teams Strong communication and collaboration skills BLS certification; ACLS preferred
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures Prepare the operating room with necessary equipment and supplies Monitor patients' vital signs, responses to anesthesia, and overall condition during surgery Maintain strict adherence to sterile techniques and infection control standards Assist with patient positioning, surgical prep, and handling of instrumentation Communicate surgical team needs and relay critical changes in patient status promptly and accurately Document nursing assessments, care delivered, and outcomes in clinical records Participate actively in the care team, supporting positive patient experiences and outcomes
