Pre-Op/PACU Registered Nurse (RN) Orthopaedic Surgical Institute, Rochester Hills Rochester, MI Job Details Full-time 2 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance 401(k) matching Life insurance Qualifications Outpatient surgery experience RN License BLS Certification ACLS Certification ICU experience Emergency room experience Full Job Description Orthopaedic Surgical Institute is an ambulatory surgery center seeking an experienced and motivated RN to join an established team of pre and post operative nurses specializing in orthopedic care.
The ideal candidate would be:
Self motivated Team focused Experienced in the pre and post operative care of an orthopedic patient population Able to critically think through complex situations Able to quickly adapt to a fast paced pre and post operative environment Duties include but are not limited to: Pre operative intake and assessment IV initiation Pre operative order implementation Assist anesthesiologist with pre surgical regional block procedure Post operative intake and monitoring Monitoring and maintaining airway patency alongside anesthesia team Delivery of clear and concise post operative care instructions Accurate and thorough pre operative health history calls Post operative follow-up calls Maintaining compliance with daily and monthly log checks
Requirements:
Current valid nursing license in the state of Michigan BLS ACLS and PALS (if not currently held, must be obtained within 6 months of hire) Saturdays as required Flexibility for end of shift times and early AM start times
