Job Description

Category Nursing - RN - IR Job Type Contract Take the lead in high-acuity patient care in Interventional Radiology by providing skilled nursing support during both angiographic and neuro procedures. This contract opportunity calls for an experienced RN ready to operate in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, utilizing critical care and sedation expertise.
Schedule & Hours:
Day shifts: 7:00 am - 4:30 pm or 7:30 am - 5:00 pm Four 9-hour shifts per week (totaling 36 hours) No weekends required for regular shifts One holiday may be assigned, depending on contract length
On-call:
One night per week and one weekend every 4-5 weeks depending on staffing
Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Nursing Program Current RN license NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications Hospital-based Interventional Radiology experience, with critical care background strongly preferred Proven ability to manage multiple titratable drips and administer sedation during procedures
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver expert nursing care throughout angio and neuro procedures, continuously monitoring sedated patients Manage prep and recovery tasks—including starting IVs, drawing blood, and performing post-sedation monitoring Accurately complete flowsheets, review medications, and provide thorough discharge instructions Collaborate with the IR team to ensure cohesive, patient-centered care throughout diagnostic and therapeutic interventions Maintain current documentation and uphold safety and infection control standards at all times
