In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients experiencing urgent and emergent health conditions within a fast-paced hospital environment. Your expertise will support rapid assessment, stabilization, and treatment of patients across diverse medical scenarios, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and care. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in emergency medicine, critical care, and trauma response, with the ability to adapt quickly to evolving clinical situations. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews, utilizing advanced clinical judgment. Administer medications and treatments accurately, including IV infusions, suturing, and medication administration in accordance with physician orders and established protocols. Manage airway maintenance and ventilator support for critically ill patients while employing aseptic techniques to prevent infection. Perform diagnostic evaluations such as laboratory specimen collection, processing, and interpretation of diagnostic imaging results including CT scans. Provide acute pain management and facilitate trauma medicine interventions in Level I and Level II trauma center settings. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans that meet hospital standards such as NCQA (National Committee for Quality Assurance) standards. Document all patient interactions comprehensively within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Lead triage processes to prioritize patient care based on severity of condition while working efficiently under pressure. Support discharge planning by coordinating with case management teams and providing patient education on post-emergency care. Maintain proficiency in emergency procedures including airway management, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and basic life support (BLS).
