As a vital member of our staff, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health and well-being of our patients undergoing dialysis treatments. Duties Prepare patients for dialysis treatments, including pre-dialysis testing, assessment, and preparation of the dialysis machine. Monitor patients' vital signs during treatments and alert medical staff to any changes in their condition. Perform aseptic techniques to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients undergoing dialysis. Administer medications as directed by the attending physician or nurse practitioner. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients. Maintain accurate records of patient treatments, including vital signs, medications, and any complications that may arise during treatment. Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families, promoting a positive experience and enhancing patient outcomes. Skills Strong understanding of physiology and anatomy, as well as medical terminology. Proficiency in aseptic technique and ability to maintain a sterile environment. Experience with dialysis treatments and the ability to operate dialysis machines. Familiarity with medical terminology and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and maintain a calm and patient demeanor in high-pressure situations. Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
