Fairview looking for skilled and passionate Registered Nurses to join our Labor & Delivery team in Burnsville, MN. Conveniently located just 20 minutes south of Minneapolis at the crossroads of I-35E and I-35W, our hospital has been a trusted provider of expert maternity care and community health services since 1984. Fairview Ridges Birthplace features a 30-bed Postpartum unit, a 9-bed Labor & Delivery unit, and a 3-bed Maternal Assessment Center, supporting approximately 2,000 deliveries each year. Schedule:

This position is 48 hours per pay period, nights,12 hour shifts with every third weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday). The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s). The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act. The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate. Responsibilities Assesses patient needs and identifies expected nursing outcomes. Collaborates with patient, family and other health team members to develop a nursing plan as part of an integrated, comprehensive plan of care Develops an individualized plan based on age, social and cultural considerations, condition and other relevant needs. Evaluates care and patient response to interventions and expected outcomes. Collaborates and communicates effectively and respectfully with the patient, family and members of the health care team within and across care settings to promote partnership-based health care Demonstrates the ability to advance care by utilizing standards, guidelines, care pathways and continuous improvement to enhance patient outcomes. Promotes a culture of evidence based practice (EBP) Required Qualifications MN Registered Nurse (RN) License 1 year L&D Experience OR 2 years Postpartum Experience OR 2 years Acute Care Experience Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross) NRP at hire or by completion of orientation period. Attendance at Fetal monitoring and Pregnancy & Newborn Loss class (both to be completed within 1 yr of hire if not acquired prior to hire). Preferred Qualifications Bachelors Degree in Nursing or BAN 1-3 years of L&D experience

The hospital has been providing state-of-the art care and community services to the residents of the elegant Minnesota Valley since 1984. Fairview Ridges Birthplace is a 30 bed postpartum and 9 bed labor and delivery unit with a 3 bed maternal assessment center and over 2200 deliveries per year. Join our team to work in a collaborative, patient and family centered environment where we focus to meet our patients and families desires for medical and non-medical interventions that support their labor, delivery and postpartum experience.
