IMCU/Med Surg IMC Nurse Job Summary:

As an IMCU/Med Surg IMC Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients in the Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) or Medical Surgical Intermediate Care (IMC) unit. You will monitor patient progress, administer medications, collaborate with healthcare team members, and ensure that patients receive the appropriate level of care.

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Monitor and assess patients' conditions and vital signs 2. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians 3. Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans 4. Educate patients and their families on their medical conditions and treatments 5. Assist with diagnostic tests and procedures 6. Provide emotional support to patients and their families 7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records 8. Ensure patient safety and comfort at all times

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Valid RN license 2. Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in IMCU or Med Surg IMC 3. BLS and ACLS certifications 4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills 5. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment 6. Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities 7. Attention to detail and accuracy in patient care 8.
