Staff Nurse Operating Room Job Summary:

The Staff Nurse Operating Room is responsible for providing patient care during surgical procedures in the operating room. They work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other members of the surgical team to ensure the safety and well-being of patients before, during, and after surgery.

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Assisting surgeons during surgical procedures 2. Preparing patients for surgery, including positioning and prepping 3. Monitoring patients' vital signs during surgery 4. Administering medications and anesthesia as directed 5. Providing post-operative care and monitoring patients' recovery 6. Ensuring a sterile environment in the operating room 7. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Registered Nurse (RN) license 2. BLS and ACLS certification 3. Minimum of 2 years of experience in operating room nursing 4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills 5. Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment 6. Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills 7. Ability to work well as part of a multidisciplinary team 8.
