$54.09-$78.13 per hour for active visits + On-Call Stipend + Mileage Reimbursement + $2,500

What Makes This Role Different In many healthcare settings, nurses are responsible for multiple patients, endless interruptions, staffing shortages, and competing priorities. Hospice nursing offers something different. You'll have the opportunity to focus on the patient in front of you. You'll build relationships with families. You'll provide education, symptom management, and reassurance during moments when your support can make an incredible difference. For many nurses, hospice allows them to reconnect with the reasons they entered healthcare in the first place. What You'll Be Doing Provide skilled hospice nursing care during evening and overnight hours. Assess patients and respond to changing clinical conditions. Deliver pain and symptom management interventions. Support patients and families through education, communication, and compassionate care. Provide care in private homes, assisted living communities, memory care settings, and skilled nursing facilities. Coordinate closely with physicians, social workers, chaplains, hospice aides, and fellow nurses. Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation. Help ensure patients remain comfortable and supported throughout their hospice journey. Who We're Looking For We welcome nurses from a variety of backgrounds including: ICU ER Oncology Med Surg Critical Care Palliative Care Home Health Hospice Hospital-based nursing environments Qualifications Active Minnesota Registered Nurse (RN) License Hospice experience preferred but not required. Strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills. Ability to work independently in a field-based setting. Excellent communication and patient education abilities. Calm, compassionate, and confident under pressure. Reliable transportation and ability to travel throughout the Greater Twin Cities Metro Area.
