- temporary assignment in a hospital environment Responsibilities Provide direct patient care to medical-surgical patients, including ongoing assessment, vital signs, medication administration, intravenous therapy, wound care, and monitoring for changes in condition.
Collaborate with physicians, nursing colleagues, and other health professionals to develop and adjust care plans; participate in rounds, discharge planning, and patient education. Maintain accurate electronic charting and documentation; uphold patient safety, infection control, and comfort standards. Administer prescribed medications and monitor for therapeutic effects and adverse reactions; manage IV infusions and lines per policy. Respond to emergencies, implement standing orders as appropriate, and escalate issues promptly; adhere to center needs and staffing requirements. May be required to float to like units as needed; demonstrate flexibility with rotating day/night shifts. Requirements Active RN license valid in Minnesota at time of submission BLS and ACLS required; TNCC may be optional depending on experience Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience; critical access experience preferred Ability to work in a hospital Med Surg setting with rotating day/night shifts; locals and first-time travelers considered RTO must be submitted at time of submission; two professional references required at submission
