Job Description

Category Schools - RN Nurse Job Type Contract Experience a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact in an elementary school setting near Minneapolis, MN. This full-time contract position offers the chance to provide personalized, one-on-one care as either a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) for a single elementary student during school hours, ensuring consistent support and continuity in their academic experience. You'll be an essential part of the student's daily routine, working Monday through Friday, 7:30 am-3:30 pm. On days when the student is not present, your expertise will benefit the school's broader community by assisting with general nursing responsibilities, contributing to overall student well-being.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Active RN or LPN/LVN license in Minnesota Previous experience working in a school setting or with pediatric populations is highly valued Proficiency and comfort with central line and G-tube care Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare providers Compassion, patience, and adaptability for working with children in a dynamic school environment
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver dedicated 1:1 care and support for an elementary student, ensuring safety and health during the school day Administer medication, monitor medical needs, and provide interventions as required Maintain accurate documentation of care provided Collaborate with school staff and families to develop and adjust care plans Offer general nursing support for the school community in the absence of your primary student This position promises a fulfilling daily routine where you can truly make a difference.
