1 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced ER RN for a night shift travel contract at a Level 4 Trauma teaching hospital in Minnesota, requiring ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications. Details Work setting is a short-term acute care hospital with a combined adult/pediatric, non-trauma emergency department 39 total staffed beds at the facility Patient care involves cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, 12-lead EKG/ECG acquisition, arterial line management, blood product administration, central line care, phlebotomy, IV initiation and maintenance, triage, and isolation precautions Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00-07:30 Every third weekend required Floating required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals as needed Block scheduling is not available Charting is performed in Epic (Excellian) Free parking available in any unrestricted space Scrub color: Navy Blue Requirements Active MN RN license required; pending license accepted Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC Minimum 1 year of ER experience required Experience in a general combined adult/pediatric emergency department required Skills required: dysrhythmia interpretation and management, 12-lead EKG/ECG, arterial line management, blood product administration, central line care, phlebotomy, IV therapy, triage, and isolation precautions Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible One supervisor reference required for consideration All current certifications must be provided for consideration, including Nursys or state board of nursing license verification Additional Information Teaching hospital and Level 4 Trauma Center Pre-start modules are required to be completed before the first day of the contract Candidates who have previously worked at this health system as permanent staff or per diem must have been separated for at least 3 months from their last shift to be eligible RTO requests of no more than 5 days are preferred First-time travelers are welcome to apply
