Job Description

The Nursing Station Tech position is responsible for assisting with patient care, performing receptionist duties at the station, and maintaining patient care areas. The skills and responsibilities of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) align closely with those of a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) and Patient Care Technician (PCT), making this a great opportunity for those with CNA experience. 18 years of age. Ability to function independently and maturely. Ability to read, write and carry out directions. Ability to assemble, maintain and record data in an accurate record. Must have sympathetic attitude toward the care of the ill.
Preferred:
1-2 years experience working in a health care setting as a HUC, NA or NST or equivalent experience. Vocational/Technical Training or Associate Degree and Successful completion of a health unit coordinator program preferred. May be required to work weekends or overtime. Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance. Maintains current Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers from one of the following programs: American Heart Association or American Red Cross. If a candidate does not currently have their Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers from one of the following programs: American Heart Association or American Red Cross the Basic Life Support, certification will be included as part of the orientation program.
