Desired Experience & Qualifications:
Current, unrestricted RN license (state compact licensure accepted) Minimum of two years' recent CVOR experience strongly preferred Strong clinical competency with cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures BLS and ACLS certifications required Excellent communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary surgical teams and adapt to varying protocols
Role Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care throughout perioperative phases in the CVOR Assist with vascular and open-heart procedures, preparing and managing surgical instruments and equipment Ensure a sterile and safe environment, strictly following surgical standards and infection control measures Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient response Support surgeons and anesthesia providers to facilitate optimal patient outcomes Educate patients and their families on the preoperative and postoperative process as appropriate
