The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of patient care, medical procedures, and healthcare documentation, with the ability to work effectively across diverse clinical settings. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient-centered care, ensuring safety, and supporting treatment plans in accordance with established standards and protocols. This position offers an opportunity to work in dynamic environments such as hospitals, outpatient clinics, long-term care facilities, or community health settings. Duties Provide comprehensive nursing care by performing physical examinations, vital sign assessments, and patient evaluations using advanced medical terminology and physiology knowledge. Administer medications and injections accurately, including IV infusions and medication management in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Cerner or Epic to document patient information, medical records, and treatment plans efficiently. Assist with diagnostic procedures including laboratory specimen collection, processing, and diagnostic evaluation using aseptic techniques. Support patients through complex procedures such as catheterization, suturing, wound care, ostomy care, and ventilator management. Coordinate discharge planning and case management activities for diverse populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, behavioral health patients, and individuals with developmental disabilities. Respond promptly to emergency situations in acute care environments such as Level I Trauma Centers or ICU settings; perform airway management and acute pain management as needed. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes across medical-surgical units, ICU, PICU, or hospice & palliative medicine programs. Qualifications Valid RN license with current registration in the relevant state or jurisdiction. Demonstrated experience working in hospital medicine, emergency medicine, critical care transport, or specialized units such as neonatal ventilator or trauma medicine. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems including Cerner and Athenahealth; familiarity with
ICD-9/ICD-10
coding is preferred. Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques essential for maintaining patient safety. Experience performing physical examinations, laboratory testing (phlebotomy), specimen collection/processing, and diagnostic evaluation. Ability to manage complex cases involving acute pain management, medication administration, tube feeding, and ventilator support. Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities or in long-term care settings such as nursing homes or assisted living facilities is advantageous. Excellent communication skills for triage assessments and health coaching; ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
