This is an excellent opportunity for an RN looking for a weekday schedule with no weekends, no on-call responsibilities , and a collaborative outpatient environment focused on adult cardiac care. Days | Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM•4:30
PM Start Date:
07/20/2026 Pay Range•$2350 to $2600 Per week
NOTE:
Candidate withing 70 miles from the facility will not be accepted> Responsibilities Provide nursing care to adult cardiology patients in an outpatient setting Perform patient assessments and assist with cardiac-related treatments Start IVs and administer prescribed medications Monitor and educate patients regarding cardiovascular conditions and medications Perform telephone triage and follow-up calls Coordinate referrals and appointment scheduling Handle medication refill requests and pharmacy communications Complete insurance verification and authorization documentation Maintain accurate patient documentation using Epic EMR Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to deliver high-quality patient care Requirements Active Registered Nurse (RN) license Minimum 2 years of outpatient cardiology nursing experience required Previous outpatient cardiology experience is required Experience with Epic electronic medical record system required BLS Certification required Strong IV insertion and venipuncture skills Experience administering cardiac medications, anticoagulants, insulin, and emergency medications Excellent patient education and communication skills First-time travel nurses are encouraged to apply Preferred Qualifications Previous Charge Nurse experience Experience in teaching hospitals, community hospitals, LTAC, or trauma settings Experience interpreting cardiac rhythms Experience caring for patients with chest pain, hypertension, and cardiac emergencies Skills & Clinical Experience Cardiology nursing Adult patient care IV starts and venipuncture Cardiovascular assessment Medication administration (IM, ID, Subcutaneous, IV Infusions) Anticoagulation therapy Antiarrhythmic medications Nitroglycerin administration Telephone triage Patient education Blood glucose monitoring Specimen collection Immunizations Oxygen administration Documentation using Epic EMR Additional Information Adult patient population Orientation provided Up to two pre-approved time-off requests accepted
