Job Description
Registered Nurse Oncology Coordinates and performs effective patient care utilizing the nursing process and accepted standards of care. Performs chemotherapy and infusion administration, physician assistance, information gathering, sample collection, patient education, patient follow-up, supply maintenance, and consultation.
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing
- Current licensure as registered nurse in Missouri or registry eligible (Graduate nurse must obtain licensure within 3 months of graduation)
- 1 year experience in infusion and/or chemotherapy preferred
- Maintains Basic Life Support validation
- Successful implementation of nursing knowledge/process
- Demonstrates skill in area of specialty
- ACLS required or obtained within six (6) months
- Chemotherapy certification required or obtained within one (1) year
