LTC Registered Nurse ($7500 Sign on Bonus) Humansville, MO 65674 Full-time Full-time Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Long Term Care (LTC) Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background, demonstrating expertise in diverse nursing practices within long-term care settings. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality patient care, support residents' well-being, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. The LTC Registered Nurse will be instrumental in ensuring safe, effective, and personalized care for our residents, including those with complex medical needs and cognitive impairments. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and health histories to develop individualized care plans. Administer medications and treatments accurately, including injections, IV infusions, and wound suturing, adhering to aseptic techniques and safety protocols. Monitor residents' conditions closely, managing acute pain, infectious diseases, and chronic illnesses such as dementia or memory care needs. Collaborate with physicians and specialists on procedures such as catheterization, dialysis management, or botulinum toxin treatments for applicable residents. Document all patient interactions thoroughly within electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide education and coaching to residents and their families regarding health management, medication administration, and discharge planning. Assist with triage in urgent situations, including emergency room transfers or trauma cases at Level I or Level II trauma centers. Maintain infection control standards and ensure a safe environment through proper sterile processing and aseptic techniques. Experience Proven experience working in long-term care facilities such as nursing homes or assisted living communities. Critical care experience in hospital settings such as ICU or emergency medicine is highly desirable. Familiarity with medical office procedures including laboratory experience, phlebotomy, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and medical documentation is preferred. Knowledge of specialty areas such as geriatrics, behavioral health, hospice & palliative medicine, or trauma medicine enhances candidacy. Experience with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner for accurate documentation and patient record management. Strong background in managing complex cases involving acute pain management, wound care (including ostomy), and tube feeding procedures. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations including individuals with developmental disabilities or those requiring memory care services.
