Description:

We are seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for a high-acuity Stepdown / Telemetry (PCU) unit within an acute care hospital setting. This unit manages complex cardiac and medical patients requiring continuous monitoring, cardiac drips, and respiratory support. The ideal candidate is clinically strong, flexible, dependable, and thrives in a fast-paced team environment. Unit Highlights High-acuity Stepdown/PCU with telemetry monitoring Mix of cardiac, medical overflow, and post-op surgical/trauma stepdown patients Collaborative multidisciplinary team environment Responsibilities Provide direct patient care in a Stepdown/Telemetry environment Continuous cardiac monitoring and interpretation of rhythms Administer and titrate IV drips per protocol Manage patients requiring BiPAP and respiratory support Perform patient assessments, monitor vitals, and report changes in condition Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR Follow hospital safety guidelines and policies.

Requirements:

2+ years Stepdown or ICU in an acute care hospital. Must be competent with insulin gtts, precedex, titrating nitroglycerin, Cardizem, Bipap Epic Experience BLS (AHA)- required

$45.00 - $58.00 per hour Application Question(s): Do you have at least 2+ years of recent Stepdown or ICU experience in an acute care hospital? Are you competent in managing/titrating critical drips (insulin gtts, Precedex, Nitroglycerin, Cardizem) and caring for patients on BiPAP? Do you have Epic EMR experience? Do you have an active BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)? Do you have an active ACLS certification? Do you have an active NIHSS certification? Are you willing to float to other units as needed based on facility needs?
