In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care across various settings, including acute care, outpatient clinics, long-term care facilities, and community health environments. Your expertise will ensure patients receive comprehensive assessments, personalized treatments, and compassionate support. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives while working with advanced medical technologies and interdisciplinary teams. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality nursing care with a focus on safety, efficiency, and patient satisfaction. Duties Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation using EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems such as Epic or Cerner. Administer medications via injections (including botulinum toxin treatments), IV infusions, and other routes following aseptic techniques and safety protocols. Monitor patients' conditions closely in various settings such as ICU, emergency room, PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit), or long-term care facilities; respond promptly to acute pain or emergent situations. Assist with diagnostic procedures including catheterizations, suturing, laboratory specimen collection/processing, and imaging procedures like sonography or mammography when applicable. Provide patient education on health management topics such as medication administration, nutrition, wound care (including ostomy care), and chronic disease management like diabetes or heart conditions. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for discharge planning, case management, and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards such as NCQA standards or HIPAA regulations. Maintain accurate medical documentation of patient interactions, treatments provided, and progress notes in accordance with legal and institutional policies. Qualifications Valid RN license in good standing; current CPR/BLS certification required. Proven experience in diverse clinical environments including hospital medicine, ICU/CCU (Critical Care Units), emergency medicine, or post-acute care settings. Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner; familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-9/10) and CPT coding is preferred. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques. Experience working with specialized populations such as pediatrics (including neonatal ventilator management), geriatrics (memory care or dementia care), behavioral health patients or individuals with developmental disabilities. Skills in IV insertion/infusion therapy, specimen collection/processing, wound suturing, ventilator management, and tube feeding are highly desirable. Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments such as trauma centers (Level I/II Trauma Center experience), urgent care clinics, or outpatient surgical centers. Join us to be part of a passionate team committed to delivering exceptional patient-centered care! We value energetic professionals eager to grow their skills while making a positive impact on the communities we serve.
