Infection Control Specialist/Clinical Care Educator Pathogens, Microbes, and Fungi, OH MY! Infectious agents are

Have we got a job for you… Valley View health & Rehabilitation is looking for someone with a sturdy background in healthcare, particularly in areas such as physiology, infection control, and epidemiology. This position requires a thorough understanding of infectious diseases, public health principles, and regulatory compliance. As our Infection Control Specialist & Clinical Care Educator, you will be responsible for: Developing and implementing educational programs for nursing staff. Responsible for educating staff on best practices to prevent and manage infections. Providing training and guidance to nurses on clinical procedures and best practices. Conducting assessments and evaluations to identify learning needs and gaps in knowledge. Collaborating with nursing leadership to develop educational goals and objectives. Creating educational materials, such as presentations, handouts, and online resources. Delivering educational sessions through various formats, including in-person, virtual, and self-paced modules. Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of educational programs and making necessary adjustments. Staying up to date with current healthcare practices, regulations, and advancements in nursing education with administrative responsibilities. An on-call rotation with management team.
Requirements:
Valid nursing license (RN or BSN) - Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience. Experience in teaching or providing education to healthcare professionals. Knowledge of Medicare regulations and guidelines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
