Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Communicate specific patient information through receiving and giving shift report including, but not limited to, patients diagnosis, treatment plan issues, specific behaviors, medical issues, special precautions. Make patient assignments taking into account staff capabilities and patient needs. Assesses each patient daily and documents in progress notes. Reviews flow sheet and documents behaviors noted.

Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with a diploma or an associate degree, B.S.N. preferred.
• Licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in the state of Missouri.
• Knowledge of Professional Nursing.
• Knowledge of adolescent and child behaviors and knowledge of nursing interventions that are appropriate for the treatment of children and adolescents in need of psychiatric care, preferred.
• Experience in the psychiatric treatment of children and an adolescent is preferred.
