This travel nursing assignment gives you the chance to work in a region known for stunning natural beauty, rich cultural history, and abundant recreational opportunities. During your downtime, explore area attractions like Dickerson Park Zoo, Johnny Morris Wonders of Wildlife National Museum & Aquarium, the Springfield Art Museum, scenic parks, historic museums, and a lively local dining scene. As a valued RN specializing in Operating Room care, you'll work within a top-rated hospital recognized for its focus on innovation, safety, and patient-centered care. You'll collaborate with forward-thinking healthcare teams, gain exposure to a Level 1 Trauma & Burn Center, and develop professionally through new approaches, diverse leadership, and unique patient population experiences—boosting your skillset and enhancing your résumé.
Schedule & Assignment Details:
Night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) 13-week assignment Guaranteed 36 or 48 hours per week (must specify preference) Rotational weekend coverage required No call requirements Night shift orients on day shift for initial training
Qualifications:
Active RN license (eligible in Missouri) BLS (AHA required) 1+ year current inpatient Telemetry RN experience; drug titration skills NIHSS (must obtain prior to start if not held) 4 trauma credits (complete within two weeks if not current)
Preferred:
ACLS certification; Trauma care experience Flexibility to float on a rotational basis within Telemetry and related units
Responsibilities:
Deliver direct patient care across all age groups, addressing pre/post-surgical and trauma needs Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care Collaborate with ancillary departments Maintain high standards for confidentiality, patient rights, and adherence to all clinical guidelines Mentor and support fellow caregivers, evaluate care provision
