Clinical Educator, Register Nurse Magnolia Learning Institute Full Time Basic Purpose:
The Educator is responsible for the education of all staff. The educator will plan, coordinate and teach any course/competency offered through the MLI. The educator must conduct business professionally at all times.
Education:
High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.
Certification/Licensure:
Mississippi Board of Nursing or Compact State Licensure as a Registered Nurse required. Certification in staff education or equivalent required.
Experience:
A minimum of 3 years' clinical experience is required. Minimum of 1 year teaching experience is required.
Special Skills:
Ability to teach in a one on one setting and/or group setting without difficulty.
Language/Communication/Organizational Skills:
Ability to prepare and write documents, reports, policies & procedures. Ability to organize time and data, to develop and present educational offerings. Maintain documentation of educational services. Ability to speak effectively and professionally to staff, management and outside individuals.
Mathematical Skills:
Basic math skills and ability to analyze and trend data for attendance and quality reports. Ability to calculate dosages and solutions.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense in communication with people and comprehend principles of health care, management, nursing and education. Ability to interpret standards and apply to your own responsibilities. Requires a high degree of professional knowledge.
