Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will work one on one with a pediatric child at home. . As an RN, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, administering medications, and supporting the nursing staff in delivering comprehensive healthcare services to our patients. Responsibilities Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians while adhering to safety protocols and standards. Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the nursing staff. Assist with patient assessments and documentation in compliance with hospital coding systems. Provide direct patient care in inpatient settings, ensuring comfort and safety. Educate patients and their families on health management, medication usage, and disease prevention. Maintain accurate records of patient care activities and adhere to established standards of practice. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans. Assist with the handling of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) as necessary. Lift and transfer patients safely using appropriate techniques. Skills Proficient in medication administration and understanding of pharmacology. Experience working in hospital environments or urgent care settings is preferred. Familiarity with coding systems for documentation purposes. Strong understanding of healthcare standards and protocols. Ability to operate DME effectively and safely. Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in patient care documentation. Ability to lift patients safely, ensuring their comfort and safety during transfers. Experience with electronic health record systems such as Epic is a plus.
