Job Description

Job description: Overview Meadville Convalescent Home is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background and demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality patient care. This position requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively within a team, and a passion for improving patient outcomes in various healthcare settings. Duties Provide direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning. Administer medications and perform medical procedures such as IV infusion, suturing, and catheterization. Conduct physical examinations and monitor vital signs to ensure patient stability. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. Document patient care activities accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients and their families on health management, medication administration, and post-discharge instructions. Participate in case management activities, including discharge planning and coordination of services. Maintain a safe and sterile environment by adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques. Provide support in specialized areas such as critical care, pediatrics, geriatrics, hospice & palliative medicine, and emergency medicine. Qualifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Mississippi. Experience in long-term care facilities is preferred. Familiarity with ICD coding. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology to perform thorough patient assessments effectively.
