Competitive and based on experience About Us We are a newly established dual diagnosis treatment facility dedicated to serving military veterans seeking stabilization and recovery from substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. Our mission is to provide compassionate, evidence-based care that promotes healing, resilience, and long-term recovery in a safe and supportive environment. Our multidisciplinary team specializes in crisis stabilization, drug and alcohol treatment, mental health services, and veteran-focused care designed to address the unique challenges faced by those who have served our country. Position Summary We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our growing clinical team. The RN will provide direct nursing care to veterans receiving treatment for substance use disorders, mental health conditions, and co-occurring diagnoses. This role is critical in ensuring the safety, stabilization, and ongoing wellness of our clients throughout their recovery journey. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Conduct nursing assessments and ongoing patient evaluations. Administer medications and monitor for effectiveness and adverse reactions. Assist with detoxification and withdrawal management protocols. Monitor patients experiencing mental health crises and behavioral health symptoms. Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, therapists, and case managers to develop and implement treatment plans. Respond to medical emergencies and provide crisis intervention when necessary. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with facility, state, and federal standards. Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, recovery, and wellness strategies. Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and quality assurance standards. Support a therapeutic and trauma-informed treatment environment.
QualificationsRequired:
Current Mississippi Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing. Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Current CPR/BLS certification. Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred:
Experience in behavioral health, psychiatric nursing, addiction treatment, detoxification, or crisis stabilization. Experience working with veterans, military populations, or trauma-informed care. ACLS certification. Knowledge of dual diagnosis treatment and recovery-oriented care.
