Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-MS Job Type Contract A rewarding contract opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse skilled in Medical-Surgical care. This role offers exposure to a diverse patient population, including medical, orthopedic, general surgery, gastrointestinal/postoperative, telemetry, and stepdown cases. The position requires comfort with managing a 5-7 patient assignment, including several total care patients, utilizing the EPIC electronic health record system effectively to deliver patient-centered care.

13-week contract duration Rotating schedules: Rotation 1: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Thursday, Friday Rotation 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday (Nights)
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum of 3 years' recent experience in Med/Surg nursing Current and valid RN license in the state of Mississippi BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred) EPIC proficiency is essential Proven experience managing complex med-surg assignments and adapting to new patient needs Confidence in caring for a mix of specialty patients, including stepdown and telemetry
Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality, individualized nursing care for a rapidly changing patient population Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions, responding to emergent issues as necessary Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe and effective care Administer medications, treatments, and manage medical equipment as appropriate Educate patients and families on conditions, post-care instructions, and health maintenance Maintain accurate, thorough documentation within the EPIC system This is an excellent contract opportunity for experienced nurses seeking to broaden their skills in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
