Job Description

Senior Helping Hands is a Program within Allies in Aging that provides compassionate, in-home support that helps older adults maintain independence, dignity, safety, and connection within the comfort of thier own homes. Through meaningful relationships and personalized care, our team assists seniors with daily living tasks, companionship, respite support, and other essential services that improve quality of life and help individuals continue living successfully in their communities. Job Summary We're seeking a dynamic and compassionate Senior Helping Hands Registered Nurse to join our dedicated team. Our Registered Nurse role supports the health and well-being of clients within the Senior Helping Hands Program. This role is responsible for client assessments, medication setup/management, health monitoring, staff training, regular communication with client's physician, and quality assurance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Direct Client Services Conduct initial intake and assessments for new clients requiring nursing services. Communicate care plans with clients' primary care providers. Perform regular and follow-up home visits; respond to emergency needs during work hours. Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with organizational policies. Monitor and follow up on medication changes. Address incident reports and assess client safety and care concerns. Make referrals and contact family members as appropriate, with client consent. Training & Quality Assurance Conduct Caregiver quality assurance reviews at least twice per year and as needed. Train Caregiver Staff upon hire and provide ongoing support for best practices and safety. Review weekly care notes and follow up on issues or inconsistencies with clients. Program & Policy Support Review and update policies and procedures annually; assist in the development of new policies and procedures. Collaborate with the Senior Helping Hands Program Manager on in-service education. Represent the organization in assigned meetings and public relations activities. Provide feedback at Professional Advisory Committee meetings. Report concerns regarding staff or client issues to the Senior Helping Hands Program Manager.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Minimum Qualifications (Experience/Education): Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program Current RN license in the state of Montana Minimum two years of healthcare experience; one year of home health experience preferred Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Good verbal and written communication skills Interest in and desire to work with the seniors and vulnerable populations Ability to work with coworkers, clients and other contacts in a professional and positive manner Must have valid Montana driver's license, transportation and insurance Must pass national background check
Pay:
$30.00 - $32.75 per hour
