The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care of patients. The staff RN utilizes the nursing process by use of technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice and coordination of care with other health team members. PRN 3 = Base Wage + 20% differential- must work 8 shifts per 8-week schedule, two holiday/premium shifts per calendar year, four weekend shifts per schedule This is a PRN position for the night shift

Minimum Qualifications:
Required:
BSN Degree- from an accredited program required within 4 years unless 15 years of acute care service.
- Failure to obtain a BSN degree within this time frame may result in suspension or termination of employment.
Preferred:
National Certification in area of practice To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team to achieve patient-focused outcomes. 2. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read, analyze, interpret periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write reports. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, or regulatory agencies. 3. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. 4. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. 5. Regular attendance to perform work on site during regularly scheduled business hours or scheduled shifts is required. Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies- and•Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations•and•Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy.
- and•Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients.
- and•Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment.
- and•May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.
